Recruitment & selection
Interested candidates can apply for the fellowship by filling out the iVolunteer India Fellow application form. Short-listed candidates will be called for a personal interview and group activity.
Matching
Selected candidates will be matched to social development project based on the skills of the candidate and requirement of the NGO.
Orientation
Selected candidates who have confirmed their participation in the program will be invited to a pre-departure orientation program spread over 2 days. A pre-departure kit will also be provided.
Placements
The fellowship will commence from May and end by June 2008. Dates will be decided as per the NGOs’ requirement and Fellow's college schedule.
Mid term review
3 weeks into the fellowship, an iVolunteer representative will undertake a field visit to each Host NGO, meeting with Fellow(s) and the NGO for a mid term review.
End point meet
Post fellowship, Fellows will come together to share their learning and experience with each other. This will be a residential program of 1½ days and is likely to be held at the end of June.
Valedictory function
A valedictory function will be organised to commemorate the effort of the India Fellows and award them with certificates on successful completion of the fellowship. This will also act as a platform for the India Fellows to meet Returned Fellows, and other program partners.
Post fellowship
To mark the end of the fellowship, Fellows will work together to organise a social development fair or India Fellow stall at their respective college/college festival. The purpose is to share their experience with the general public. iVolunteer will provide logistical help for the same.
