Organise an orientation programme for the Fellow/s before departure |

Visit the Host NGO twice, once for need assessment and again for a mid-term review |

For need assessment, undertake a field visit to the village before the fellowship commences to meet with staff members, assess accommodation facilities and outline projects for the Fellows |

For mid term review, 3 weeks into the fellowship, visit the NGO and Fellows for a review of the placement |
 |
Liaise with the Host NGO and Fellow/s to ensure proper implementation of the programme |
 |
Coordinate the monitoring and evaluation component of the programme |

Provide accommodation to the Fellow/s
|
 |
Assign a challenging project/s to the fellows (preferably separate projects for each fellow) |
 |
Assist the iVolunteer representative in framing an outline of fellow’s project assignment |
 |
Take the Fellow/s through proper orientation to help him/her know your organisation and staff with whom the Fellow/s needs to work |
 |
Place the Fellow/s under a mentor, who would also act as his/her supervisor and reporting authority |
 |
Cover the Fellows’ cost of travel if travelling to another city or intra-city for official work is involved |
 |
Submit requisite documentation as and when required as part of the Fellowship |
 |
Allow iVolunteer representative for a mid-term review of the Fellow/s |
 |
Participate actively in the mid term review |
 |
Provide feedback to iVolunteer prior to, during and post fellowship |
 |
Reasonably guarantee security of the Fellow/s |
 |
Ensure that Fellow/s perform the work stated and provide appropriate feedback about his/her work |
 |
Provide general assistance for day to day work |
 |
Make every reasonable effort to ensure that the Fellow/s is not subjected to verbal, physical or sexual harassment. The Host agrees to ensure prompt investigation and documentation of all allegations of harassment. |
 |
Provide a written report to iVolunteer stating the reason for termination, if any, one week before taking any such action |
This year we are offering 60 fellowships to urban youth from metro cities in India. We seek rural Host NGOs based in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh.
