The iVolunteer India Fellow Professional Programme aims to provide professional skills and expertise to the rural and social development sector in India by engaging skilled corporate professionals on full-time projects for 3 to 12 months with rural NGOs in India. Our target audience comprises private sector professionals and MBA post-graduates with at least two years experience in India in marketing, management consulting, finance or IT. Professional Fellows are supported by iVolunteer and local host organisations through local accommodation, stipend, travel, orientation and ongoing project support.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake direct marketing initiatives addressing the target group eg: bulk emailing, stall promotion
• Handle enquiries and applications received via email and phone and thereafter coordinating with applicants to organise and conduct assessment as per format
• Establish contact with host NGOs in rural areas and undertake field visits wherever needed. Organise local workshops to introduce the programme to potential partner organisations.
• Coordinate with selected candidates to organise orientation and placement logistics which includes travel guidance and ticket booking
• Manage programme documentation, MIS and programme information displayed on the website. Manage website registrations for all rural NGO partners.
• Work closely with Head India Fellow to ensure smooth placement of Professional Fellows
• Work with the larger team on iVolunteer events as and when additional help is required
• Work with the larger Fellowships team on rural volunteer placements as and when additional help is required

• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Possess working knowledge of computers and basic website management
• Willingness to travel within rural India if and when required to source projects from rural NGOs and thereafter review placements
• Willingness to work with the larger team towards targets. The programme has a placement target of 20 Fellows.
• 6 months minimum work experience

• Experience in coordinating group programmes
• Exposure to and knowledge of the development sector in the form of voluntary / work experience or a relevant academic qualification
