We received an overwhelming response from volunteers for the first phase of ‘Gift Knowledge – Donate a Book’! However our collections were still limited. We wanted more people to come forward and donate books, as we wanted to create a reading place with books for all our NGO beneficiaries.

We believed in our cause but had no money to publicize. So, we decided to look for corporate support with the help of our iVolunteer members. Among other biggies, Accenture came forward to support and contribute to iVolunteer’s book drive!

How was the drive conducted in Accenture? The drive in Accenture was conceived with the help of a group of volunteers and Corporate Citizenship Committee in Accenture. Employees were informed about the program in detail through mailers and books donations were accepted for a week across various Accenture offices in Bangalore.

More publicity came iVolunteer’s way through Accenture-sponsored posters requesting employees to donate books. Book collection took place through identified volunteers and cartons placed at central locations.
